NYLaughs is back this summer with its highly anticipated series of free comedy performances, offering New Yorkers a much-needed laughter intervention and the opportunity to discover their own emotional support pigeons at our exciting signature Laughter in the Park pop-up events! NYLaughs is thrilled to join forces with Lincoln Center for the “Summer For The City” programming, a celebration of collaboration and giving back to the community. Best of all, admission to all shows is free!

Asha Ward COMEDIAN
Asha Kali Ward, an American comedian, joined Saturday Night Live as a writer in 2022 during the show’s 48th season, earning the distinction of being its youngest writer, surpassing fellow rookie Auguste White by three months.
Jeff Lawrence COMEDIAN
Former rock singer Jeff Lawrence transitioned into stand-up comedy after his band’s failure and tight pants predicament, quickly gaining popularity in NYC clubs, headlining internationally, founding Laughing Buddha Comedy, and receiving media recognition, while also mentoring aspiring comedians and artists.
Joyelle Johnson COMEDIAN
Brooklyn-based Joyelle Nicole Johnson is a multi-talented stand-up comedian, writer, and actress, making waves in the comedy world with appearances on Comedy Central’s Comics to Watch and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and touring with Lizz Winstead’s Lady Parts Justice League, using her passion for comedy to make a positive impact on society.
Megan Piphus Peace HEADLINER
Megan Piphus Peace, a talented puppeteer and ventriloquist, became the first black female puppeteer to perform on Sesame Street in September 2021 playing the role of Gabrielle, a 6 yr old Muppet and she’s also appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, America’s Got Talent, and Showtime At The Apollo with Steve Harvey where she received a standing ovation from the Apollo audience.
Jo Firestone HOST
Jo Firestone is a comedian who shined in a half-hour Comedy Central Stand-Up Presents special, has written and performed for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (NBC), The Chris Gethard Show (TruTv), Joe Pera Talks With You (Adult Swim) and she co-starred and co-wrote a web-series with her friend and partner-in-depressive-humor Aparna Nancherla called Womanhood.
